UITP and UATP provide training on public transport fundamentals

UITP and its African Division, the African Association of Public Transport (UATP), organised a training on public transport fundamentals in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, on 12-14 December.

Some 30 participants from four different African countries came to learn the basics on managing a public transport company. Relevant topics such as operation and maintenance of networks as well as marketing and contracts were addressed.   

All attendees were very pleased with the training and expressed their wish to have more regular trainings open to more people. The training was given by Mohamed Mezghani and Tony Dufays from UITP as well as Joseph Aka Assafoua and Eric Kouakou from UATP.
