     WORKSHOP
    European railway legislation and
    related Technical Specifications
    What impact on regional
    and suburban rail?

    22 September, Brussels, Belgium

    OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP

For more than 15 years, the European Union has been implementing a comprehensive legislative framework aiming at creating an integrated European Railway Area benefitting from an improved “interoperability” of railway subsystems infrastructure such as rolling stock or signalling materialised by the so-called TSIs –Technical Specifications for Interoperability…

This process is ongoing and time has come for the regional and suburban rail sector to take stock of the new technical framework:

    • What is mandatory/optional? Are there exemption possibilities?
    • What is still in the pipeline?
    • How could the sector be better heard? How should we anticipate?

When attending this workshop, you will get all answers to your questions
    on the subject!
This event will also be an opportunity for all participants to exchange information and to obtain a better understanding of the European rail legislation.
