    UITP (Union Internationale des Transports Publics) seeks for its Knowledge and Membership Services Department a:


     Manager

    To assume the lead of the rail division (metro and light rail)

    Primary responsibilities will include:

      - Scientific, administrative and financial coordination and follow-up of the work of working groups (organisation of meetings, agenda, follow-up…)
      - Coordination of the output from working groups: drafting reports, organisation of conference, workshops, congress sessions
      - Scientific support for events organised by colleagues in relation with rail
      - Preparation of speeches, speaker at certain events
      - Organisational, administrative and logistic assistance to the preparation of meetings, conferences and plenary sessions
      - Membership development and retention

    Ideal candidate will have:

      - University Degree
      - Knowledge of Public Transport required and particularly in the rail sector
      - Sense of responsibility and capability to work on confidential and sensitive issues
      - Excellent communication skills, capable of analysis and synthesis
      - Excellent organisational skills and sense of priorities
      - Ability for team work, skills for motivation
      - Avidity to learn
      - Excellent computer skills at user level (MS Office applications and Internet)
      - Fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of at least one other UITP official language.
